So bare with me on this one, folks.
As we all know, or at least those few people who follow up on "current events", there is a new bit where we have to remove propaganda posters that have been put up around Central Tyria.
I found some textures in the dat. file, that seem to be said sheets of paper.
However, since I stumbled upon this part of the achievement by accident, I didn't manage to get a good look. Sadly, the image wasn't in a higher resolution, making it impossible for me to read the fine print. However, I am able to make out the headline, which to be frank, is enough for most people when they read anything these days.
So basically I am just spitballing on this one.
So from left to right. The rise of Orr
White Mantle Conspiracy
Wrath of the Titans
The Bloodstone Invocation is obvious since the White Mantel wants to use the stone to summon their deity back to Tyria. At least according to some posts online, that said those things taken from the raid wings. #spoileralert ^^ #somethingWoodenPotatoeSaid
Nightfall is interesting too. It was the name of an entire campaign of Guild Wars 1 after all.
Let me quote Wikipedia on Nightfall here:
"Nightfall takes place on the continent of Elona in the Guild Wars universe. It follows the player's character as they join the Order of the Sunspears and uncover the desire of Warmarshal Varesh to return a long-forgotten god to the world through an event called Nightfall. The players, assisted by their hero allies, fight through civil war, ignorant Vabbi princes and Varesh's demon allies as they attempt to prevent the coming of Nightfall."
Guess we see a common theme here.
So what about Titans and Orr?
We know that
The Titans are demonic creatures created in the Foundry of Failed Creations by twisting tormented souls.[...](And that) Titans are said to obey the bearer of the Sceptre of Orr.
Those who followed the entire game lore so far know that the Foundry of Failed Creations is part of the so-called Domain of Anguish, which belongs to the Realm of Torment.
The same realm the player will enter in Nightfall due to some ritual etc. etc. etc.
We also know that the Sceptre of Orr, after it was found by the Great Necromancer Livia, was once used by Vizir Khilbron to control a freed titan to conquer Central Tyria.
After Khilbron's defeat at Abaddon's Mouth, the weapon was spirited away before it could be destroyed by the volcano. After the defeat of the Great Destroyer, the human necromancer Livia sought out and recovered the Sceptre and had it in her possession for some time.
So we can assume it is still existing somewhere.
My prediction on this one is that the White Mantle wants to find the Sceptre of Orr, or to create a similar as powerful weapon to summon titans from the Realm of Torment with the Bloodstone and seize control over central Tyria once more.
Which makes it even more interesting that the Raid Wings, that are after all full of White Mantle activities, are so close to DR.
Side note - ever noticed how the outline for Divinity's Reach looks like the bloodstone seal?!
Here a map to do just that http://guide.thatshaman.com/
